Okay, a few things in the works over the next month or so-

The Bomb The Bass single ‘Up The Mountain’ featuring The Battle of Land and Sea will be released as an official single March 16th. It’ll be readily available I promise. 3 songs total, with 2 remixes by Gui Boratto, DJ Marky & S.P.Y. There will be a video as well which I’m very excited about. The full Bomb The Bass ‘Back To Light’ comes out March 2nd.

A website is in the works at the moment. Long overdue? Yes, very much so. Plan is to have up within the next 2 weeks. I’ll have all the song lyrics on there. If you’ve written me so nicely asking for lyrics and I happened not to get back to you, then here you go:)

Also on the horizon is the Rainy Day/The Battle of Land and Sea split 7″.
I’ll be getting 250 copies of this limited edition vinyl.
2 Battle songs, 1924 and No Peace of Mind. These have not been released before. The mp3’s will be available from the usual places, iTunes, Amazon, etc… But I will be doing a special packaging for the vinyl with some extras to encourage and make buying the vinyl record that much more special.

p.s. If you are unfamiliar with the band Yeasayer, then you are missing out. The song ‘Sunrise’ is one of my favorites of all bands. I don’t have the new record yet, but I’m sure there are some gems on there too.

Vinyl version of 1924 up

We’re doing a split 7″ with the band Rainy Day. The tracks 1924 and No Peace of Mind will be on it. I’m really excited to have some vinyl. This will be a limited edition pressing, I’ll have info on how to purchase once a release date is set.

Until then, I’ve taken down the demo version of 1924 and added the vinyl version. Enjoy.

In the studio/Up The Mountain

I’m in the studio tonight with Jacob at The Brown House studio in California (thanks Dusty.) Thought that some sunshine would give the right amount of uplifting vibe to the tracks. Alas, it is rainy, very rainy, so we could be in Portland right now and I wouldn’t know the difference. I think some of the new songs are on the ‘cheery’ side, but so far ‘haunting’ is the most used term from others. Sad sap I am. No, not even close.

I’m recording, demoing, writing, just being a hermit and not leaving the house much.

It feels good to be excited about songs again. (Thank you Gavin for suggesting another 20 song game)

I’ll be putting demos up here and there as I want to share them with you.

I once listened to Veedon Fleece by Van Morrison on cassette in my car for a whole summer.
Never even took it out once. I revisited some of tracks tonight for a good dose of nostalgia.
I’ll save the obsessive Catherine Wheel ‘Chrome’ story for another time.
